Undisguised Horror
The author, a peasant from the Balkans, had delirium in which bears, rats and witches threaten him; the vivid festival scene could resemble folk art. The figure on the right, bearing a tail, plays in instrument shaped like a disform child.
 

This painting was produced by an anonymous mental patient and is part of a collection "Though This Be Madness", Thames & Hudson, London, 1961.
